Now Brain Machine Interface (BMI) has bright uses in many files and is working to make science fiction become a reality, It uses brain waves to control an external device, such as a prosthetic limb, robot, video game, or even smart home settings, this technology depending on monitor electrical signals from the brain with electroencephalography (EEG) EEG physicians use it for helps diagnose neurological disorders but now can use for fun and enterment! , Researchers from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) have addressed these issues by developing a dry biosensor containing graphene.

A Brain Machine Interface (BMI) is ordinarily made up of three modules: an external sensory stimulus, a sensing interface, and a unit that processes neural signals. Of the three, the sensing interface is important and presents many challenges because it detects electrical activity generated by the brain’s outermost layer and needs more sensing and compactness, to get the cerebral cortex data, which is responsible for higher-level processes, including motor function.

A new sensor 3D-patterned uses graphene developed by researchers and it’s a dry sensor that can measure the brain’s electrical activity without relying on conductive gels, the dry sensors are better when compared with traditional “wet sensors” because it’s less irritating, allergenic, and more stable because conductive gel on the scalp and hair can cause the sensors to move when the individual does.
